Chiropractic is regulated by law within the medical association (106, 128).

The German Medical Assembly (German Ãrztetag) in 2003, introduced the additional term “Chiropractic” for “Manual medicine” and a training programme “(Muster-) Kursbuch – manuelle medizin/chirotherapie” for doctors.

The term manual medicine or chiropractic therapy may both be used (128).
