The Code of Social Law (1998) recognizes naturopathic medicine as a distinct therapeutic
system (106).

The Medical Chamber has recognized a specific naturopathic curriculum leading to an official additional qualification for medical doctors (106).

Various medical associations provide postgraduate training courses in naturopathic
medicine, issue diplomas, and have developed quality standards (106).

Naturopathic medicine is commonly offered by trained doctors in many rehabilitation clinics, acute care hospitals within “naturopathy departments” and also in regular hospitals (106).
